Thank you for coming! This study is a required part of my dissertation efforts. I have a limited time to collect data and need MANY more people to participate. If you know friends, family, or complete strangers you think might be willing to help, please invite them to come to this website as soon as possible. All participants must be at least 18 years old and have access to the internet. There is no upper age limit. Each person can only participate once. Please consider doing so.
The purpose of this study is to explore how people move around in unfamiliar places. This can help find ways to design that make it easier for users of complex computer applications. The first questionnaire will help decide whether these changes depend on user characteristics.
You will play the role of a lesson designer. You have replaced another designer who left suddenly. You need to see what work he completed before you can continue. You will do a number of Find-It tasks to look for data in the WorkSpaces application.
This is NOT a skill test. If you cannot complete a task within 5 minutes, you may skip it. I will have the data I need as long as you try. Even if you skip all tasks, please make sure you complete the final questionnaires so I can use your data!
If you decide to participate in this study, you will answer some questions. You will do 20 brief Find-It tasks. You will then answer some more questions. How long the study will take depends on how fast you work and how many breaks you take. It will take minimum of 30 min if you know the application very well. Find a quiet place to work and plan on taking breaks. The Research Consent Form that follows will give you more information. You must "sign" the form before you can participate.

You can read more about Silverlight at Wikipedia. Silverlight is relatively new. As more websites use it, you will find it a useful plug-in for more than this program.
